CARGO- Oval House Theatre
The narrow upstairs space at South London's Oval House Theatre doubles well as the back of a lorry, the floor strewn with cardboard and intelligent use of lighting and sound providing a real sense of motion.

Sherry Coenen's realistic but evocative lighting design emphasizes the cruelty of the situation.

Thanks to its designer, Polly Webb-Wilson, and lighting by Sherry Coenen it looks good. Cardboard boxes hem in the fearful brother and sister, the truculent young man and the elderly doctor who are making the journey, and the sodium-yellow glow of the motorway and of passing headlights stripes this restricted arena, creating an atmospherically imprisoning environment.
